All our carers undergo initial induction training on commencement of employment. In addition they attend Moving & Handling, First Aid, Food & Hygiene, Medication, Infection Control, Fire Training and Health & Safety training annually. A percentage of carers have already obtained a qualification in NVQ2 or above. Also, we are actively promoting and arranging further NVQ training within our team to meet, if not exceed the future mandatory requirements.

Our carers also attend individual courses on a variety of specialist subjects such as confusion & dementia, medicine awareness, mental health awareness, terminal illness, stroke management, challenging behaviour, multiple sclerosis and incontinence.
